The Boys and Girls Club of Drayton Valley offers Out of School Care programs at three sites in the community: Aurora School, Eldorado School and St. Anthony School.
We offer a licensed programs for children ages 5-12 yrs old that operated after school until 6 pm Monday to Friday. We also offer day camps on most non-instructional school days (except stat holidays) including around Christmas and Easter breaks from 8 am – 5 pm.
Each program has the capacity to serve 20 children. Some of the standards that our licensed programs offer include: skilled staff, minimum of 10:1 child staff ratio, regulated healthy daily snacks, a variety of stimulating, developmentally appropriate programs and activities and ongoing monitoring, feedback and evaluation.
Our fee structure for the program is as follows:
Monthly fee (full-time): $310 (Subsidies will be available for qualified individuals including families with more than 1 child in the program)
Shared spot monthly fee: $155 (Two children share a full-time spot in the program and each pay half the fee)
Family with 3 children fee example: 1st child fee: $310/month
2nd child fee - $260/month
3rd child fee - $210/month
Day Camp fee - $35/day
Drop-in fee - $20/day (Max of 5 visits per month)
Government subsidies may be available for families that qualify to help cover up to 100% of program costs. Government childcare subsidy information may be found online at www.child.alberta.ca. The best way to apply is online and you will learn the amount of your subsidy right away. Program staff will also be available to assist families with this process.
