Child Care Program Staff

The Boys and Girls Club of Wetaskiwin provides quality, reliable programs where children and youth experience new opportunities, overcome barriers, build positive relationships and develop confidence and skills for life. This person will have the education, experience and commitment to work in a program that meets the developmental needs of children and is responsive to the needs of their families. The Centre provides quality day care for children 12 months to 6 yrs old.

Responsibilities:
• Provide a safe, secure, loving environment
• Planning and implementing developmentally appropriate programming based on current child development knowledge and appropriate early childhood practices
• Showing initiative, being energetic     

Qualifications:
• Minimum of Child Development Assistant Certification
• Knowledge of Licensing and Accreditation standards
• Experience working with children 12 months to 6 yrs old
• Criminal Record Check & Child Welfare Information Check
• First Aid Certification

This position is a full-time position. Salary Range: $13.64 - $16.45 per hr plus accreditation top up dollars ($2.14 - 6.62/hr). The Boys and Girls Club of Wetaskiwin offers its’ employees:

Program Support Staff (Out of School Care)

Responsibilities:
• Supervise and interact with children in a safe and supportive manner
• Facilitate programs
• Ensure program space is clean

Qualifications:
• Child Development Assistant Certification
• Knowledge of Licensing and Accreditation standards
• Experience working with children 5 to 12 yrs old
• Criminal Record Check & Child Welfare Information Check
• First Aid Certification

Hours of work:
• Part time position (5-15 hrs/week)
• Monday through Friday from 3:00–6:00pm
• Occasional Day Camps from 8:00am – 5:00pm

Wage: $13.64 - $15.86 plus Accreditation top-ups if applicable.
