After School Programs

The Boys and Girls Club offers a variety of fun, safe and interactive programs during the after school hours for children and youth 6 - 17 years of age.

Leadership Development:

Torch Club Logo   Large

Torch Club:  Ages 10 - 13 years old.  Hours: 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm. Thursdays from October - May each year.  

A Leadership Club which focuses on 5 core elements: service to club and community, teamwork, healthy choices, leadership and learning for life. Personal awareness and self-confidence will be developed in a supportive team environment through activities and projects at the club and community with possibilities to attend regional conferences. Keystone Blueblk Big

Keystone Club:  Ages 14 - 18 years old.  Hours 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm. Wednesdays from October - May each year.

A Leadership Club which focuses on 6 core elements: service to club and community, teamwork, healthy choices, leadership, learning for life, youth, democracy and civic engagement.   Personal awareness and self-confidence will be developed in a supportive team environment through activities and projects at the club and community with possibilities to attend regional and national conferences.   Fee: $50.00.  For more information contact:  Justin Wieclaw  at 780-352-4643 ext. 38.

Junior Raise the Grade:  After school academic program for 10 - 12 years old.  Tuesdays, from 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm.  No program fee.

Kfn Wm

KidFood Nation: Cooking program for 7 - 12 years old.  Thursdays from 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm.  No program fee.

This national initiative helps kids develop food skills through hands-on experiences related to planning, preparing, and cooking. The program was developed through collaboration with Dietitians of Canada with opportunities that encourage kids to put their food literacy skills into practice.

Friendship Club: Cultural program for 6 - 17 years old. Mondays from 4:30 pm - 5:30 pm. 

A cultural program where participants will learn and experience Indigenous culture through a variety of teachings and activities from a positive adult role model.
