After School Programs

The Boys and Girls Club offers a variety of fun, safe and interactive programs during the after school hours for children and youth 6 - 17 years of age.

Leadership Development:

Torch Club Logo   Large

Torch Club:  Ages 10 - 13 years.  Hours: 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm. Thursdays from October 12, 2017 - May 31, 2018.  

A Leadership Club which focuses on 5 core elements: service to club and community, teamwork, healthy choices, leadership and learning for life. Personal awareness and self-confidence will be developed in a supportive team environment through activities and projects at the club and community with possibilities to attend regional conferences. Keystone Blueblk Big

Keystone Club:  Ages 14 - 18 years.  Hours 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm. Wednesdays from October 11, 2017 - May 30, 2018.

Young Chefs Cooking Program:  Ages 8 - 12 years.  Thursdays from 4:15 pm - 5:30 pm (October 12 to November 30).  Program fee: $50.   Youth will learn basic culinary skills while reading recipes and working in a team atmosphere. The program also encourages healthy eating and to help to understand food groups and serving sizes.  

Tower Garden By Juice Plus Logo 149x300

Tower Garden:  Ages 8 - 12 years.  Wednesdays from 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm (October 11 to November 29).  Program fee: $20.  This program will allow young gardeners, ages 8 to 12, the opportunity to learn the basics of growing plants from seed to harvest. They will also take what they grow to make nutritious meals or snacks and find out the difference between traditional and aeroponic gardens.

Junior Rogers Raising the Grade:  After school academic program for 10 - 12 years.  Tuesdays, from 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm.  No program fee.

Assets in YouthThe program assists youth in developing skills to reduce personal stress and problems they may be experiencing. An outreach component is implemented in order to address and reduce youth related issues within the community and to connect with youth in their natural environments.
