Early Learning & Child Care Centre

Operating under the Alberta Child Care Licensing Regulation Act, the Early Learning and Child Care Centre is the only Accredited Day Care facility in Wetaskiwin. Opened in September 2009, the space has room for 64 children, from 12 months to 6 years of age.

  • Government Subsidies available to assist with, up to 73% of fees.
  • Funded as an Alberta Early Learning and Child Care Centre

Starting May 1/18, we will offer:

  • Capped parent fees at $25/day care, 
  • Implement an evidence-based early learning and child care curriculum framework 
  • Inclusive supports for children with diverse needs,
  • Offer flexible child care by extending our hours of care from 6:45am to 6:00pm to 6:30am – 11:00pm Monday to Friday. (Start date Sept 4). 
  • Integrate Indigenous teachings, practices and Cree language into the children’s daily activities to build cultural learning. (Anticipated start date Sept 1 or earlier). 
  • Increase enrollment spaces in our Centre. (Anticipated start date Sept 1 or earlier).

Registration Fee: 

There is a $25.00 non-refundable & due upon registration fee.

Rates:

Fees
Full-time - 4+ days per week (maximum of 10 hours per day) $550/month
Part-time - 3 days per week (maximum of 10 hours per day) $325/month
Part-time - 2 days per week (maximum of 10 hours per day) $225/month
Daily/ Drop in (subjected to space availability) $25/month

Subsidy Schedule:

Elgibility for child care subsidy is dependent on the household income and size of the family.
